Do we live in a perfect world? No, we don't. Do we have a perfect life? Sadly, we don't, and if you think you are living a perfect life, the reality is that you're not. If you think you are healthy and will never be sick, you are mistaken. If you think material things will bring you happiness, then you are deluded. Stop living life under a pseudo-belief system filled with what-ifs, maybe I should, or it will not happen to me. The reality is, it will happen when you least expect it. Our world seems superficial, and we seem caught up in this reality TV world that tends to entrap us. We all have something to offer, and I sincerely believe that, regardless of our individual educational and professional pursuits, including our wealth or lack thereof, we can all make a meaningful difference in our society, wherever we may live in the world. Regardless of the career path or education you pursue, ensure that you work hard with sheer dedication and the confidence to believe in yourself. You can accomplish anything when you set your mind to it and focus. Keep in mind that it is essential to choose your friends wisely. Don't let anyone discourage you, unless it is for the right reasons, such as when it pertains to your well-being and safety. Ensure you are a positive influence on them, and they are a positive influence on you. Let the truth of your reality guide you, and take a journey worthy of your talents.
“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
– Nelson Mandela
"We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort."
- Jesse Owens
"Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like."
- Lao Tzu
"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
Now, let me get a little philosophical about the reality of life, about which we should think. When you ask yourself, "What is my purpose in life?" think about what you want to contribute to life, rather than what you expect in life. Contributing to society is far more meaningful and rewarding than merely acquiring possessions. It is essential to be realistic about your goals. Set realistic, attainable goals that are rewarding and meaningful to you. As we think about our overall purpose and goals in life, we sometimes tend to doubt ourselves. We all experience doubt at times, and it can lead to making mistakes or missing opportunities for success. Nonetheless, each of us can accomplish amazing things in life. It is essential not to doubt yourself, regardless of how challenging life becomes. The moment you begin to doubt yourself, you will fail to accomplish anything in life. To be realistic is to understand that change can happen at any time. It is best to face reality and address your concerns promptly. Understanding our individual abilities and assets enables us to build a strong foundation for success and overcome life's challenges. Our self-efficacy and individual self-worth are worthy of our time, energy, and effort. The imperfect society in which we live should not limit our potential to overcome any obstacles and challenges that we may encounter.
"You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality."
- Walt Disney
"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light."
– Aristotle
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
"If you live a life of make-believe, your life isn't worth anything until you do something that challenges your reality. And to me, sailing the open ocean is a real challenge, because it's life or death."
- Morgan Freeman
Unhealthy influences can derail our progress in life, especially when people are entrapped in the delusions of our world. It is imperative to have a healthy understanding of the social dynamics of our world. No, the difference between reality and reality TV is that understanding this helps you appreciate life itself more. Our society is often blinded by facades that rob day-to-day events of their realism. It is always best to live in the present and be fully present. The reality of life is, no doubt, challenging and never easy; taking on adversity is much more rewarding than being consumed by it. Your reality is what you make it, not someone else's expectations for you. If you have goals and dreams, pursue them; don't ever underestimate yourself. Your possibilities are endless; don't wait for the opportunity to come to you. Get out there and make it happen for yourself, and you will have no regrets. If you make mistakes or face disappointments, that's ok, learn from them and keep moving forward. Try making a difference in a truly meaningful way, because the rewards are some of the greatest life lessons. Decide what's best for you, and over time, let that become your reality. Life is sometimes like a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Take the journey and create your own reality.
"Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you're riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live!"
- Bob Marley
"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
– Buddha
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart."
– Helen Keller
